A screw rotates in the barrel and pushes the plastic forward. The screw is an inclined surface or slope wound on the center layer. The purpose is to increase the pressure to overcome the more excellent resistance.
The extruder needs to overcome four resistances when working:
1. The friction force of solid particles (feeding material) on the cylinder wall;
2. The mutual friction between the rotation of the screw;
3. The adhesion of the melt on the cylinder wall;
4. The flow resistance inside the melt when it is pushed forward.


The plastic granulator stops momentarily during use, and the host does not roll. The reason for this failure:

1. The main power supply is not connected;
2. The heating time is insufficient, or one of the heaters does not work, which causes excessive torque and overloads the electric idea.

How to deal with this failure
①. Check whether the host circuit is connected and power on;
②. Check the temperature display of each section, confirm the preheating time, check whether each heater is damaged or has poor contact, and eliminate it.


The main electric idea of the plastic granulator rolls, but the screw does not rotate. The reason for this failure:

1. The transmission V bandwidth is loose, wear and slip;
2. The safety key is loosely dropped or disconnected.

How to deal with this failure
①. Adjust the center distance of the V-belt, tighten the belt, or replace with a new V-belt;
②. Check the safety key, analyze the cause of the break, and replace the safety key.


The screw of the plastic granulator usually runs but does not discharge. The reasons for this failure:

1. The hopper feed is discontinuous, or the feed port is blocked by foreign matter, or "bridging" occurs;
2. Metal complex objects fall into the screw groove to block the screw groove, and the material cannot be fed typically.

How to deal with this failure
①. Increase the feed volume to make the screw feed continuous and not messy;
②. Shut down and check to remove foreign matter in the material port to eliminate the "bridging" phenomenon; if it is confirmed that there is a metal foreign matter falling into the screw groove, stop the screw immediately to remove the metal foreign matter.

Reasons for the failure of the vent hole:
1. The raw materials are not clean enough with impurities;
2. The feeding speed is too fast to make the screw extrusion irregular.

Maintenance and maintenance of plastic machinery and equipment

1. Regularly check whether the amount of oil in the lubrication pump oil tank and the engine base oil tank is sufficient. Check the reliability of the lubrication system, and lubricate the moving parts as required. Maintenance is the same as the plastic granulator
2. Regularly check whether the pipeline leaks and the fastening condition of the fasteners.
3. Frequently check whether the safety device of the machine is normal and effective, especially after changing the mould, check whether the mechanical insurance has been adjusted accordingly. Regularly check the ground connection and the insulation of electrical components, and the ageing of the wires.
4. Regularly check the condition of the oil filter or packing, clean and replace it in time, and always pay attention to whether the oil is contaminated and deteriorated. When the hydraulic oil turns dark brown and emits an odour, it is a manifestation of oxidative deterioration. The hydraulic oil should be updated as soon as possible; when there are small black spots or transparent bright spots in the hydraulic oil, it means that there are impurities or metal powder mixed in, and it should be filtered or changed.
5. The cooler needs to be soaked and cleaned with carbon tetrachloride solution every 5 to 10 months of operation.
6. The maintenance of important parts such as screw and barrel must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the instructions.
